Here at Tirto Furniture our goal is to continue providing handcrafted solid wood furniture to the Pacific Northwest. We have a lot of empathy for the owners of these businesses who have shuttered. It is a very challenging environment to make it as a business owner, much less a small, family owned business. Everything you hear in the news about cost of shipping, trucking costs increasing as gas prices soar, the expenses of owning a business in our expensive city of Seattle. All of this impacts family owned Tirto Furniture as well.
What keeps us going is hearing from customers that they love our furniture and that it makes their house feel like a home! Just today at the shop, we had a couple with a brand new baby come wander the shop, a family with 2 elementary school kids buying more comfortable chairs for their kids to use at the dining table when doing their homework, a mother came with her adult daughter, working to update their home now that the kids had all moved out. As a family business, we cherish being a part of customer’s lives, and we know you value high quality, reasonable priced furniture.
