Seattlites used to say that the weather in our city was rainy until the 4th of July (with rain that evening to complicate the firework displays), and then on the 5th of July it started to warm up into Summertime. Well certainly that is not the case anymore.
Somehow, even though it’s just May, we are already starting to think about meals outside, bbqing, and lounging in the afternoon sunshine. Which means it might be time to swing by Tirto Furniture and take a look at our plantation grown, teak wood garden furniture. Teak wood, often used for boat decks, is extremely durable in the elements and our Pacific Northwest climate. If you leave it untreated, just the raw natural wood, it will weather to a silvery patina over time. Or, you can use a teak oil to seal in the natural warmth of the wood color. Just keep in mind that you have to sand and re-oil the furniture about every 5 years.
Come by Tirto Furniture in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and take a look at some new designs for garden furniture this season. We have some tables and chairs, with more arriving in mid-June (you can always pre-pay to reserve specific pieces as it is sure to go quickly). Our website has photos of the benches, tables and chairs under Outdoor Furniture. As always, we can create a custom piece if you have unique needs.
